Manama: Bold steps to revitalise Saudi Arabia’s economy were hailed yesterday by the Premier.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said that action taken by Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had not only boosted the Saudi economy, but also turned challenges into opportunities to develop and prosper.

The Premier hailed the growing leverage of Saudi Arabia as a major economic power to reckon with in the region and the world.

He paid tribute to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for leading his country to the highest levels of development.

The Premier made the remarks while receiving state officials.

On security challenge, he vowed to thwart attempts to exploit “those who do not want any good for the nation” and seek to harm the country – pledging zero tolerance to maintain security and stability.

The Premier rejected any blatant foreign interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs.

He urged alertness and vigilance to foil any attempts to subvert security and derail national development, which is gaining more impetus.

He also reiterated the government-led efforts to ensure citizens better living standards and comprehensive services.
