TAWFIQ Al Salehi, Head of the High Organising Committee of Nasser bin Hamad Ramadan Football Tournament - Nasser 11, attributed the success of the event to unlimited support of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, chairman of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and president of Bahrain Olympic Committee.
“We started planning for the tournament at a very early stage to ensure the event is a huge success,” said Al Salehi.
“The event made a quantum leap in quality and reached international level thanks to the vision of Shaikh Nasser and his invitation to Real Madrid star striker Karim Benzema, who flew in specially to attend the final on Thursday at Khalifa Sports City stadium.

“The final attracted over 10,000 spectators,” added Al Salehi.
“The High Organising Committee worked tirelessly to prepare for Nasser 11 in the best possible way, using highly qualified national cadres.
“I thank every committee member for his or her contribution in making Nasser 11 a huge success.”
Al Salehi also hailed the efforts of the media in Bahrain in covering the tournament.
Meanwhile, the referees said they take a lot of pride for being part of this prestigious event.
The referees who officiated in the final were Bahraini international referee Ammar Mahfodh and his assistants Abdullah Yaqoob and Mohammed Jaffar while the fourth referee was Ismail Habib.
