Jeddah – A legal expert warned against filming, photographing or making fun of women as they start driving for the first time in Saudi Arabia.
Lawbreakers caught targeting women drivers would be fined up to SR3 million and sentenced to prison, said Saudi lawyer Khalid Abu Rashid.
He said that filming, photographing or mocking women would expose them to dangers and violate the royal order issued by the Saudi monarch.
The law on combating IT crimes penalizes anyone who produces or posts any material that prejudices religious values or infringes upon people’s privacy.
