A BAHRAIN official has become the first government official in the Gulf to receive a top honour for his efforts to counter human trafficking and protect the rights of migrant workers.
Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) chief executive Ausamah Al Absi was honoured by US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and presidential adviser Ivanka Trump last night during the launch of the US State Department report on Trafficking in Persons (TIP) 2018 .
