Qatar’s aggressive and hostile policies targeting Bahrain are being discussed at a key conference hosted by a Manama based think-tank.
The seminar, entitled Al Khalifa Rule in the Qatar Peninsula: History and Sovereignty, is organised by the Bahrain Centre for Strategic International and Energy Studies (Derasat).
It is being held at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay and attending are scholars and researchers from the Gulf countries.
“Al Thani rulers have always been a source of rebellion and conspiracy, and a source of sedition and division, seeking to achieve domination and expansion by all means,” said Derasat chairman Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
In his speech, Dr Shaikh Abdulla also spoke of Bahrain’s claim to Al Zubarah, saying it formed an integral part of the kingdom’s territory.
