Riyadh: Football star Cristiano Ronaldo will take part in the Italian Super Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.

Serie A Champion Juventus will take on AC Milan in the much-awaited match which will be held at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh in January.

Ronaldo has recently joined Juventus on a four-year contract, bringing an end to his nine-year stay at Real Madrid. The transfer fee for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner topped €100m.

Saudi General Sport Authority Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh signed an agreement last month with Italian Serie A Professional League to hold the Supercup match in Riyadh.
