Wells Farhh Go, ridden by David Allen, won the Bahrain Trophy race held as part of the Newmarket Racing Festival in the United Kingdom.
Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee vice-chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented awards to the winner of the 27th edition of the race and expressed his appreciation to the organisers of the festival, which has hosted the annual Bahrain Trophy since 1978.
He noted that it is one of the pre-eminent flat races in the Newmarket calendar and reflects Bahrain’s commitment to supporting and preserving horseracing under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.
Shaikh Isa said that ongoing cooperation between the Supreme Committee of Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, chaired by Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and Newmarket Racecourse contributes to the success of the festival each year.
Shaikh Isa was accompanied by Shaikh Sultan Al Din bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, Shaikh Khaled bin Ali bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Bahrain’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
