Snake found hiding in air conditioning unit

Oman

Muscat: A snake was found hiding in the air-conditioner at a private house in Sultan Qaboos City in Oman.

Housekeeper Dhana Lakshmi Sami said she spotted the reptile as it was leaving the AC unit in the dining room.

A team from the municipality rushed to the house removed the snake from the house.

A photograph of the snake was sent to Dr Elke Heitz, a Muscat-based animal rights activist and founder of the Al Qurum Veterinary Clinic.

Dr Elke believes that the snake belongs to the species of Wadi Racers, who are the most common snakes and absolutely harmless.

They are actually very beneficial as they keep rodents away.
