Abu Dhabi: Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in Abu Dhabi today, on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates, in the first trip abroad since his re-election.
Hailed as 'historic', the three-day visit comes at the invitation of UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
The Chinese president, who leads a high-level delegation will hold talks with UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Nahyan and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
Talks will focus on strengthening bilateral relations and growing strategic cooperation, in addition to regional and international developments. The two sides will ink four cooperation agreements.
