Riyadh - Six female employees have been recruited to work for customs at the King Fahd Causeway linking Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
Causeway Customs director-general Fahd Suleiman Al-Bilahid said that the new employees would be in charge of processing travel procedures for passengers.
“Women employees have been working in different support sections on the causeway, including auditing and archives”, he said.
General Customs Authority Governor Ahmed Al-Haqbani gave directives to recruit female employees after the ban on women’s driving had been lifted.
