Saar Club reached the Clubs League final of the sixth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League after defeating Tubli Club 3-1.
Saar Club will meet A’ali Club in the final after the latter defeated Barbar Club 3-0.
Goalkeeper Sayed Luay Salman was in top form for Saar Club with several eye-catching saves which also won him the man of the match award.
A’ali’s goals against Barbar were scored in the space of three minutes starting from the 23rd minute. Contributing tremendously to their victory was Mohammed Abdullah, who netted the second goal.
In the Girls’ League, Al Quwah progressed to the final after beating Al Tahadi in the penalty shootout. The regular time had ended 2-2. Aya Bassem Sharaf of Al Tahadi won the player of the game award despite her team’s defeat.
Joining Al Quwah in the final were Al Esrar who thrashed Al Attaa 5-0. Hajer Abdulrahman contributed a brace to be named the player of the match.

Meanwhile, Hospitality and Leisure Committee member of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Saudi Arabia and Leaders of Change Organisation for Exhibitions and Conferences CEO Mariam Issa Al Ajmi praised the competitions of the league, being held under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, Bahrain Athletics Association president and Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation honorary president Shaikh
Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
While attending the Girls’ League semi-finals, Al Ajmi said: “Shaikh Khalid has provided an ideal environment for an important segment of the community to engage in sports activities.”
Al Ajmi praised the role played by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs under the leadership of Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder in implementing programmes and events aimed at supporting youth, empowering them and developing sports in the kingdom. She also hailed the efforts of the organising committee in conducting the league.
Al Jawhari Al Ajmi, co-founder of Change Leaders and a partner in the Koora Sports Show, said that a special tournament for girls in the league is a pioneering initiative that will have a significant impact on the development of women’s sport in the kingdom.
The league, organised by the Ministry Youth and Sports Affairs in partnership with Shaikh Khalid’s Media Office, concludes on August 9. It is held this year with the wider participation of youth centres, national clubs, young women, disabled individuals, ministries and communities.
