A KINDERGARTEN’S licence has been revoked after official investigations confirmed a series of violations reported since 2016.

In an edict, Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan announced the cancellation of the licence of Kingdom of Flowers (Al Zuhoor) kindergarten.

The institution was temporarily shut down in 2016, following complaints that the nursery officials tried to hide a child suffering burn injuries.

The edict was based on two reports from the ministry’s kindergarten and child development department, including the child suffering from burns and various other violations, according to a statement from the ministry.

“The minister gave directives to the kindergarten and child development department to notify the decision to the officials of the kindergarten and direct them to inform parents of all students on the licence being revoked,” said the statement.

The kindergarten was issued the licence in 2015.
