Riyadh – An innovative capsule will be put at the disposal of pilgrims who arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform the Haj rituals.
The new equipment was launched for the first time in Saudi Arabia, in the presence of Mecca Province Deputy Governor Prince Abdulla bin Bandar and Deputy Minister of Haj and Umrah Dr. Abdull Fattah Al-Mashat.
Designed and manufactured by a Japanese company, the capsule was presented by the Pilgrim’s Gift Society as an economic solution during Haj and Umrah.
It will be used especially in crowded places such as airports, railway stations, highway resthouses and other locations known for their congestions due to the big flux of pilgrims.
The Japanese firm used plastic and fiberglass to manufacture the capsule-shaped hotel rooms which are 220 centimetres long, 120 centimetres wide and 120 cm high.
