Muharraq Youth Center beat Dumistan Youth Center in penalty shootout to reach the Youth Centers Competition final of the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League.
Muharraq Youth Center’s goalkeeper Yousif Janahi made multiple stunning saves to seal the victory and also claim the best player of the game award. Regulation time ended at 1-1.
Special Olympics team advanced to the final of the Disabled League after routing Bahraini Deaf Committee 10-0.
Mohammed Hassan scored a hat-trick to seal Special Olympics team’s victory and bag the best player of the game award.
Motor Disability team secured a hard-fought 8-5 win against Deaf Committee to set up a meeting in the final with Special Olympics team.
Mohammed Salem completed a hat-trick for the winners and he won the best player of the game award.
Under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy president, Bahrain Athletics Association president and Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities honorary president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the finals of the Ladies League, Expatriates League and Clubs League will be held today.
In the Ladies League, Al Esrar team will face Al Quwah team at 5pm, while Sar Club will play A’ali Club in the Clubs League.
The leagues are part of the 6th Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League which is organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in partnership with the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, from June 24 to August 9. The league is part of Shaikh Khalid’s initiatives to support youth in sports.
This year, the league is held with the wide participation of youth centers, national clubs, young women, disabled individuals, ministries and communities.
Meanwhile, Capital Trustees Board chairman Mohammed Ali Al Khuzaei and media personnel and Saudi National Futsal League head Abdulrahman Al Ahmadi hailed the league as a great success in strengthening the bonds among people of villages and cities in Bahrain.
