MANAMA: Emerging technologies such as cyber threats and the dark web, artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are key topics that will be tackled during Bahrain’s first-ever Emerging Technologies (EmTech) Summit and Expo this October.
Organised by BBK and Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), the two-day summit will be held on October 3 and 4 at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
Under the theme Technology that Changes the Paradigm, the summit will provide a knowledge-sharing platform where real-world examples highlighting the challenges and opportunities of the emerging technologies to various sectors are shared.
The programme agenda covers topics relevant to emerging technologies such as cyber threat and the dark web, blockchain for fintech, cloud technologies, digital innovation, the effect of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things amongst other topics.
Alongside the main event, an expo will also be held to highlight latest IT trends and give the participants a more comprehensive overview of economic prospects and potential opportunities towards a financial and economic stability, in addition to prospects of support for entrepreneurs in the kingdom.
