Bahrain Financing Company (BFC) is the first foreign exchange firm to be set up in Bahrain.
For more than 100 years it has been the customers’ choice for currency exchange services and for over 40 years the company has been trusted by its customers to send their money across the world quickly, safely and at great rates.
The BFC branch network now totals 50 across Bahrain.
The latest entrant to the network is located at the new Oasis Mall in Juffair. Over the past 12 months, BFC has grown its ever-expanding retail network across Bahrain with outlets in Wadi Al Sail Mall, Dana Mall and West Riffa.
This further reinforces BFC’s position as the exchange with the most extensive branch network in Bahrain.
Indian customers can send money to their loved ones direct to their bank accounts or as cash pick-up within minutes to more than 63,000 agent locations in India.
EzRemit, BFC’s own money transfer service, also enables customers to send money to over 30 countries with more than 46,000 agent locations.
A new BFC app comes with the added convenience of online money transfer (BFC Smart Money) providing customers easy access to fast and secure online money transfer to over 150 countries anytime, anywhere.
The app also provides added convenience to customers with all its additional features including a currency converter, up-to-date exchange rates and fees, a favourite currencies management tool as well as corporate services and much more.
The app is free to download on the App Store for iOS or on Google Play for Android. Other products and services include collecting monthly LMRA (Labour Market Regulatory Authority) Flexi Permit fees at all 50 BFC branches. In addition, the launch of Paykii also allows BFC customers to pay a variety of household bills in their home countries.
BFC’s Buy-Back facilitates the return or sell-back of unused foreign currency from your holiday or business trip at the same exchange rate within 30 days of the transaction.
BFC’s commitment to the local community continues with CSR (corporate social responsibility) activities throughout the year which included over 5,000 food parcels distributed to blue-collar job holders and labourers in the vicinity of its selected branches and labour camp accommodations as an Iftar treat during Ramadan.
Other activities included participation in a blood donation drive at the blood bank in Salmaniya Medical Complex where BFC employees donated blood for a noble cause. Free health check-ups for customers were also organised at select BFC branches.
BFC wishes to continue with its focused CSR approach to align with its core values of care, trust and efficiency. As part of BFC’s drive to continue to innovate, BFC has become a founder-member of Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFTB), positioning Bahrain as a regional FinTech hub.
