Functioning under the aegis of the famed Delhi Public School (DPS) Society, the New Millennium School, Bahrain (NMS-DPS) is affiliated to the Indian-run Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and managed by eminent education professionals.

The school stands proud with more than 14 years of excellence in the field of education.

Since the inception of the school in April 2004, it has made steady progress, with the school strength growing from 200 in April 2004 to approximately 2,353 in April this year.

The school is built on the principles of excellence and promotes critical thinking among its students to attain excellence.

The ideology of the school ensures the overall development of every child with the aim of preparing global citizens who are ready to compete with any and every challenge that life can pose.

Learning is experiential and a love for learning is encouraged to enable lifelong learning in a fast changing world.

Besides academics, the school also offers a whole plethora of activities to hone the talents of its students.

The school’s holistic approach to education is reflected in the co-scholastic programme of sports, debates, quizzes, various sporting as well as artistic pursuits.

Confidence-building and leadership are two key elements that are encouraged.

Spiritual and moral growth of the students is enhanced through life skills classes and every day pastoral care.

Research, innovation and creativity forms the core of lesson planning at NMS-DPS.

Faculty members are regularly sent for workshops organised by various other institutions, to keep them updated with the latest changes in pedagogy.

Various in-house and need-based workshops form a part of the monthly staff meetings which helps in enriching the teaching learning process.

Students of NMS-DPS have been continuously bringing laurels to the school over the past few years. The school has throughout shown a 100 per cent success rate in the All-India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) and the All-India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE), producing Island Toppers among the CBSE schools in Bahrain.

NMS-DPS has always been a trendsetter with regard to the achievements of its final year students in various external examinations such as SAT and IIT-JEE.

Fourteen students of Grade 12 cleared JEE Main 2018 and are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced which took place in May 2018.

Many former students are now placed in some of the world’s best colleges and universities like Caltech, Stanford, UC Berkeley, University of Toronto, Michigan, Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), Indian NITs and many more.

NMS-DPS also holds the distinctive record of being the first CBSE school in Bahrain to be adjudged ‘Good’ in the QAA Inspection 2015-16, receiving the ‘Silver Seal’ from Education and Training Quality Authority.

NMS-DPS has always lived up to its motto, ‘Service Before Self’.

Under the visionary leadership of chairman Dr Ravi Pillai, managing director Geetha Pillai, and principal Arun Kuumar Sharma, along with the continuous efforts of the parents, staff and students, the school is bound to reach many milestones in the future.
