Riyadh – A documentary film focusing on the black cloth that covers the Kaaka in Mecca's Grand Mosque will be aired on the SBC and the Saudi Channel on Sunday at 07:00 pm.
Titled “Kiswa of the Kaaba”, the documentary will be the first to focus on the cloth that drapes the Kaaba, or 'Kiswa'.
The Kiswa is changed annually on the 9th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, the day pilgrims leave for Mount Arafat during the Haj, on the eve of Eid Al-Adha, which falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah.
The Al-Haramain Affairs Presidency cooperated with the Saudi Radio and Television Authority to produce the documentary film, which is subtitled in English.
The film will also be shown on the Saudi Arabian Airlines flights, the Saudi international airports and the Al-Haramain train.
