MANAMA: A traffic awareness campaign for people entering Bahrain was organised at King Fahad Causeway on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

It included the distribution of greeting cards which contained traffic instructions for the visitors, including speed limits and the importance of preventing children aged under 10 from sitting in the front seats of cars.

The visitors were also provided with instructions on appropriate parking as well as refraining from using mobile phones while driving.

The purpose of the initiative was to raise awareness about correct traffic behaviour and avoiding incorrect practices, especially during increased traffic activity associated with Eid Al Adha.

The General Traffic Directorate has also prepared a plan to regulate traffic during the Eid holidays by increasing police patrols on main highways while also arranging traffic patrols on King Fahad Causeway in both directions.
