A SUSPECTED victim of human trafficking, who was allegedly locked in an apartment in Manama and forced into prostitution, is now in a women’s detention centre, the GDN has learnt.
The GDN reported yesterday that the 31-year-old Indian woman, from Kollam in Kerala, was being housed at the Expat Protection Shelter in Sehla, which operates under the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), after she managed to escape her captors .
