Brazilian bantamweight fighter Felipe Efrain has won the Fan’s Fight of the Night Award for Brave 14 hosted in Tangier, Morocco.
Efrain was honoured by Brave Combat Federation president Mohammed Shahid.
During an epic fight night in Tangier, which marked the entry of the first global mixed martial arts promotion to Africa, seven of the nine fights ended in the very first round with three ending within the first minute.
During Brave 14, Efrain faced Arnold Quero in the bantamweight division. Efrain was making his return after a first round loss at the hands of Frans Mlambo. In a bout that lasted nearly 40 seconds, Efrain charged at Quero with stiff jabs that connected to make room for a knee to the body followed by a barrage of strikes to the face of his opponent that left Quero planted to the mat.
Ottman Azaitar, Jeremy Kennedy, Felipe Efrain and Djamil Chan were shortlisted in the final list of nominees.
The winner was selected by Brave audience who voted for their favourite athlete over social media. Efrain received the highest number of nominations thereby claiming the people’s choice award with a clear margin.
This marks the second time Efrain has claimed the Fight of the Night accolade. Earlier, he had won the Fight of the Night bonus at Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions in Bahrain.
