MANAMA: Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) has set up an eight-member steering committee comprised of members and partners representatives to support the organisation of its upcoming annual banking forum.
The forum titled: FinTech: Opportunities and Challenges in Bahrain’s banking industry is to be held on October 31 under the auspices of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
The committee will provide logistics support to the forum and help ensure that the event achieves its goals.
The members represent Al Baraka Banking Group, Bahrain FinTech Bay, BIBF, BAB, and forum organiser Finmark Communications among others.
BAB members affairs manager Afrah Ajaj said the steering committee aims to deliver high-profile sessions via an interactive platform for expertise and viewpoints exchange.
“We are confident that the forum will shed light on opportunities and challenges facing banks as a result of fast-developing fintech industry. We will soon announce further details about the forum, its agenda and speakers,” Ms Ajaj added.
The forum expects to attract more than 500 senior representatives from BAB’s 52 members, regulators and executives of monetary funds.
