MANAMA: Thousands of shoppers rushed to Swedish furniture giant IKEA’s biggest regional store in Salmabad as it opened its doors to the public yesterday.

Staff said families were also seen thronging the 650-seat restaurant that serves Swedish and local delicacies.
A 220sqm free-of-charge play facility called Smaland also drew the crowds.
