Riyadh: Three patients have died after contracting the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, also known as Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), in Saudi Arabia.
Reports said two elderly men, aged 61 and 66, have passed away due to the contagious disease in the city of Buraidah, in the province of Alqasim.
They are believed to have contracted the infection locally, Akhbar 24 reported.
Meanwhile, a fifty-two-year-old man is also reported to have died in Buraidah of the same disease, after catching the virus at a health facility.
The Saudi Ministry of Health said that a woman, aged 56, was also diagnosed with the infection.
