Quick action saved Al Ain food poisoning school kids, say authorities

Abu Dhabi: Most of the students who suffered from food poisoning at a school in Al Ain have been discharged from the hospital after making a complete recovery, the Abu Dhabi Department of Health announced.

The department said that two cases are still in the hospital and are expected to be discharged in the next few hours, WAM reported.

"We are monitoring the situation round the clock with the medical operations command centre which is communicating with government and private health facilities to provide an effective response and world-class healthcare," the department said in a statement.

The department praised the efforts made by first respondents and medical teams at school clinics, hospitals and health centres for their quick action and intervention to contain the situation and treat the case as per accredited international standards.
