A BAHRAINI man died from a heart attack while at sea yesterday.
Jaffar Sarhan, a 61-year-old from Eker, was found dead on his boat, but no further information was available.
The Interior Ministry confirmed the incident on its Twitter account and said that initial “information indicates that the death is normal”. It also added that the necessary legal measures have been taken.
Meanwhile, a Bangladeshi man died while he was working at a workshop in Askar yesterday.
Mohammed Bader, aged 56, reportedly collapsed at the site at around 6.45am and an informed source told the GDN that a medical certificate was awaited to confirm if it was from natural causes.
“Reports are yet to clearly emerge on how and where he died,” said the source.
“One report says that he was on scaffolding while another says that he was climbing the stairs.
“Apparently he collapsed and reasons could be health-related like high blood sugar level or hypertension.
“Doctors will provide a report to labour officials based on which the case will be dealt with.”
Bangladesh Embassy labour consul Shaikh Tahidul Islam said he was investigating the issue as well.
