MANAMA: More than 100 professionals – both senior and emerging business leaders – took part in an event that aimed to highlight the benefits of professional mentorship in career progression and development of young Bahraini talent.
Organised by Tamkeen, in co-operation with Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) and FinMark Communications, the event took place at Gallery 21 in Adliya.
Among the participants were professionals from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia including junior and senior managers, HR specialists from some of Bahrain’s leading corporates and numerous potential mentors and mentees who were informed about the existing professional mentorship programmes currently available or under development in Bahrain.
They include Tamkeen’s soon to be launched Career Mentorship Programme as well as the Reach programme dedicated to the mentorship of women professionals in the Middle East.
A highlight of the event was a discussion by a panel comprising Tamkeen community engagement manager Ahmed Janahi, BisB head of human resources and general services Dawood Al Ashhab and NBB chief human resources officer Dana Buhiji.
The discussion was moderated by FinMark Communications managing director Zahraa Taher.
