A Bahraini man was killed in a four-car pile-up on a major highway yesterday.
Sources told the GDN that a Gulf national who was driving on the Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Highway towards Saudi Arabia allegedly reversed in the middle of the highway at around 6pm and caused three cars to crash into him.
The sources added that one Bahraini man was killed and another injured along with three Gulf nationals, while four cars were damaged as a result of the collision.
The incident was confirmed by the Interior Ministry, which said on its Twitter account that “a man died in a traffic accident between a number of cars”. It added that relevant procedures were taken.
