Thirty female expatriate workers were rescued from a fire which broke out in their accommodation in the emirate of Ras Al-Khaimah.
The building, which is located in the neighbourhood of Al-Rass, caught fire last night without causing casualties, Albayan reported.
The civil defence units evacuated the building and put out the blaze before engulfing the whole building. Fire gas cylinders were also removed before flames reach them.
RAK Civil Defence director Brigadier Mohammed Abdulla Al-Zaabi said that an inquiry is underway to investigate the causes of the blaze.
