Historical fiction

Letters
Arturo Ramo

We are currently witnessing a great global debate on historical memory.
Left-wingers and nationalists are making great efforts to skim over events from mankind’s past. They also seek to change, distort and manipulate other facts to benefit their ideologies.
They seek to indoctrinate populations using all forms of media.
The danger is that lies spread in the name of an ideology can pass into history and be remembered as truth.
Socialist philosophy asserts that whoever controls the past controls the future, and whoever controls the present controls the past.
This explains efforts being made to change history, deny some facts and exaggerate others.
