The Tunisian authorities have decided to put on sale a fleet of luxury cars, confiscated from the family of former President Zinel Abidine ben Ali, who was toppled in 2011.
The government announced the auction hoping to generate proceeds that replenish the cash-strapped coffers and help confront social and economic challenges, Akbar 24 reports
The list of cars includes 1 Bentley, 2 Porsche Carerra, 2 Aston Martin, 1 BMW, 1 Maybach, 1 Pontiac, 1 Ferrari, 1 Rolls Royce and other luxurious brands.
The company commissioned by the Tunisian Government to manage the confiscated properties said that the cars would be displayed from the 17th till the 30th of September.
More than 100 high-end luxurious cars were among confiscated companies, stock shares and real estate properties valued at $4 billion.
