Filipino fighter Stephen Loman has visited Philippine Ambassador to the UK Antonio Lagdameo ahead of his bantamweight title defence for the second time this year at Brave 18 on November 16 at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town.
The reigning Philippine champion Loman is currently on a personal visit in the UK. He is the youngest champion from the Brave Combat Federation.
He will be defending the championship against Felipe Efrain from Brazil.
Efrain, who trains at Chute Boxe Lima, has 13 wins from his 17 professional fights, with three losses and a no-contest. He will become the first Brazilian to contest for the bantamweight championship in Brave Combat Federation.
Efrain bounced back from his defeat against Frans Mlambo with a 40-second knockout win against Arnold Quero which was awarded the best knockout of the night by the fans.
Loman is currently training at Team Lakay in the Philippines under veteran coach Mark Sangiao.
He was crowned champion by Khalid bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA) founder Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in Bahrain after his first round victory against Gurdarshan Mangat. He was also congratulated by Philippine Ambassador Alfonso Ver for his historic victory in Bahrain.
After winning the championship, Loman defended the championship against IMMAF gold medalist Frans Mlambo who is a team mate of Conor McGregor. The fight was closely followed in Belfast and was attended by McGregor himself where Loman thrilled the world by dominating all five rounds of action to win the championship.
