Omani woman reported missing since Thursday, search operation underway

GDN Online Desk

An Oman woman has reportedly gone missing since last Thursday.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) launched a search operation in a bid to know the whereabouts of the 21-year-old woman.

Her father confirmed that his young daughter Halima Hassan Al-Shamsi went missing four days ago in the wilayat of Liwa.

The woman, a married mother of two children, reportedly left the house in Harmul area of Liwa on Thursday morning.

News about her disappearance has been circulating on mobile chat application WhatsApp in different languages, calling people to help look for her and to contact the nearest police station in case anyone finds her.

In July this year, an 11-year-old girl who was reported to be missing in the wilayat of Suhar was found a day later, and handed over to her parents.
