Abu Dhabi: The UAE Cabinet has officially adopted flexible hours for the Federal Government’s employees to allow them to attend parents’ meetings and school activities.
Under the new streamlined measure, government employees can opt for flexible working hours to attend parents' meetings at their children's schools or attend graduation ceremonies and other school activities.
A resolution adopted by the UAE Cabinet - chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, gives employees up to three hours to be part of their children's school activities.
The new initiative is expected to benefit more than 94,000 students and 28,000 federal government employees. It will create a balance between the professional and family requirements of employees, while increasing their loyalty and productivity at work.
