Water supply ‘facing climate change threat’

BAHRAIN’S water supply system is expected to be severely hit by climate change unless urgent steps are taken to address the issue and adapt to the change, according to an expert. Changes in sea levels, a consequence of climate change, will determine the nation’s water supply while rising temperatures are set to lead to an increase in the demand for water, according to Arabian Gulf University (AGU) water resources management professor Dr Waleed Zubari.
