His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday attended celebrations marking Saudi Arabia’s National Day at the Saudi Embassy. Present were deputy premiers and all ministers. Saudi Ambassador Dr Abdulla bin Abdulmalik Al Shaikh also hosted a ceremony to celebrate the occasion, which fell on Sunday, at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain. It was attended by senior government officials and diplomats. Meanwhile, Saudi students at Arabian Gulf University held celebrations at the university’s campus in Salmaniya. The students wore green scarves, the colour of the Saudi flag, and sang the national anthem and traditional songs. The occasion commemorates the establishment of Saudi Arabia by its founder and first monarch King Abdulaziz in 1930.
