MANAMA: As many as 1,500 government employees will be cloud-computing ready by 2020 and a 1,000 government workloads will be migrated to the cloud by 2019, the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) chief executive Mohammed Ali Al Qaed has said.
According to him, cloud-driven technology is already innovating government processes in Bahrain, with the iGA estimating that up to 60-90pc has been saved since last year across government ICT infrastructure spending through migration onto cloud servers .
