Senior government officials, businessmen and leaders from economic sectors will take part in the second Gulf Economic Forum in Riyadh from October 21 and 22 in Riyadh.
The forum is held under the patronage of the Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr Majed bin Abdullah AlQasabi by General Secretariat of the Federation of the Chambers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States and the Council of Saudi Chambers, said a Saudi Press Agency report.
The head of the Gulf Chambers Federation, Mohammed Thani Mershid Al-Rumaithi, said the forum comes in the context of the efforts being exerted by governments and the private sector in the GCC countries to strengthen economic cooperation, pointing out that the forum's agenda includes the search for opportunities of economic integration, reviewing investment opportunities in the GCC states.
It will also discuss how to benefit from relative advantages of these countries to achieve cooperation based on improving quality and positive competition focusing on the roles of the Gulf Customs Union, service logistics and their roles in the Gulf trade.
