PRE-FESTIVAL events continue this weekend ahead of the Bahrain Jazz Fest later this month.
Music fans can look forward to Jazz in the Air at Wyndham Garden Manama on Friday.
Featuring local band This Might Be Jazz from 9pm, the event will also see the venue’s residents First Class take to the stage, as well as official Bahrain Jazz Fest 2018 DJ Enzo Pires, who will be spinning the discs with his jazzy, bluesy grooves.
The line-up ahead of the main festival continues next weekend as Virgin Megastore at City Centre Bahrain hosts an evening with popular local artist Ala Ghawas on October 19 from 6pm.
Well known as one of Bahrain’s most influential musicians, Mr Ghawas will showcase his latest acclaimed album, Tryst, and along with his band give crowds a taste of what to expect from their performance at the Bahrain Jazz Fest.
DJ Enzo will also be behind the decks on the evening.
The final event in the series will be hosted by Room 2 Rock in Adliya on October 25 – where Bahrain’s crowds will have the opportunity to meet Bahrain Jazz Fest headliner Ana Popovic between 7pm and 8pm.
Entry to the pre-event series is free for all and is part of the festival organiser’s commitment to building communities in music in Bahrain.
The second edition of Bahrain Jazz Fest will take place at the Royal Golf Club on October 26.
It will feature nine jazz bands, a second stage profiling up and coming talent, art zones, an interactive children’s area and more.
