A 1966 romantic French drama, "A Man and A Woman", will be screened at Bahrain Cinema Club tonight at 7pm. The film is about widower Jean-Louis who became a single father after his wife’s suicide and single mother Anne still reeling from the accidental death of her husband.
When the two cross paths at their children’s boarding school, both are wary but soon form a friendship that is quickly charged with romance.
The pair continues to struggle to overcome their past tragedies as they try to begin a new relationship.
The award-winning movie, directred by Claude Lelouch, received the Golden Palm at Cannes Film Festival, two Golden Globe Awards for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Actress.
