Amman – A Ugandan housemaid is facing charges in connection with the murder of a well-known Jordanian writer.
The domestic helper is accused of stabbing 69-year-old Amal Mansour at her home in the neighbourhood of Al-Rasheed in Amman, Jordan.
The suspect was arrested at the Amman international airport as she was attempting to leave the country without her employer’s authorisation.
The suspected killer has been working for the victim over 13 years before deciding to leave the country suddenly.
Ms. Mansour contributed to founding “Majalati”, “The Trump” and “Science and Technology” magazines.
She also authored many books for adults and children, which were translated into English.
