A UNIQUE event that focuses on promoting local food cultures and traditions will take place this weekend.
Titled Slow Food International, the picnic day will take place at La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art on Saturday, between 2pm and 6pm.
Perfect for all the family, the afternoon will showcase a variety of healthy food from vendors, live entertainment and children’s activities.
Slow Food is a global grassroots organisation founded in 1989 to prevent the disappearance of local food and traditions and combat people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from and how our choices effect the world around us.
Now a global movement, Slow Food is in 160 countries.
Entry to the La Fontaine event is BD5 per person and free for those under 10 years old.
