Muscat – The Muscat International Airport officially opened its doors as part Oman’s 48th National Day celebrations.
Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said inaugurated the milestone, describing the hub as 'one of the most important achievements' in the country.
He stressed the importance of the new state-of-the-art airport, road networks and ports in attracting more investments to the country.
Minister of Transport and Communications Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Futaisi said that the airport has become a 'potential economic, tourist and investment entity' for the country.
During the ceremony, a technical presentation entitled ‘Oman Gate of the World’ was made.
