BRITISH Club ‘C’ posted a hard-earned 19-14 victory over Bahrain Rugby Football Club (BRFC) ‘B’ last night in the Bahrain Netball League.
Four matches were held yesterday at Dilmun Club in Saar as part of the fifth week of action in the 2018/2019 season.
British ‘C’ took a 7-3 lead at the end of the first quarter, which they turned to an 11-6 advantage at the half. They maintained the gap at 14-10 after the third period.
Goal Attack Alex Brant was named the Player of the Match for British ‘C’, while Goal Keeper Elen Griffiths was the top performer for BRFC ‘B’.
In another match yesterday, Dilmun Club made the most of their homecourt advantage in an 18-11 win against Topshots.
Goal Attack Khulood Al Sabah was the best player for Dilmun, while Centre Rama Salem was Topshots’ best.
Elsewhere last night, Secure Services Sri Lanka defeated British Club ‘B’ 21-11, with Centre Rasangika Herath and Wing Attack Anne Marie the Players of the Match for their respective teams; and BRFC ‘A’ routed sister-squad BRFC ‘C’ 24-2, as Goal Defence Isabel Adegboyega and Goal Defence Co-Co Desouza the top performers for their teams.
