AL Hawaj 1 maintained its lead in the Championship Flight (average handicap 6 or under) at the end of the second day of the 21st Annual AMH Island Classic Charity Golf Tournament at the private golf course of His Majesty King Hamad, the patron of the tournament.
DHL 2 moved to second and Bahrain Confidential are third.
In the Premier Flight (average handicap 6.2 or over), AMH Riffa 1 are at the top while EK Kanoo 2 are second and BH-USA 1 third.
DHL 2 topped the leader board in the Championship Flight on the second day of action and they were followed by Bahrain Confidential and AMH Rifa 2.
Excitement
E K Kanoo 2 topped the Premier Flight while BH-USA 1 were second and US Embassy third.
“The excitement level is very high with all the teams trying their best to win this coveted title. There are two flights – the championship and the premier and we will have three winning teams from each flight,” said Dr George Cheriyan, CEO/CMO of American Mission Hospital .
“The logic of having two different flights is to ensure that every team has a chance at winning the titles irrespective of their handicaps.”
