Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) crushed Tamkeen 5-0 to top Group ‘A’ and advance into the semi-final of the Bankers Futsal League played at Al Nijma Club in Juffair.
Also qualifying for the last four stage were Arab Banking Corporation (ABC) who drew with National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) 2-2 in Group ‘B’.
These matches were the last to be played in the first round of the league competition.
BBK notched their third consecutive win for a total of nine points, while Tamkeen remained at the bottom of the group.
Defending champions Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) are in second place with six points.
Salman Al Mulla and Mohammed Abdulla scored two goals each and Ali Al Malki added one to lead BBK to their biggest win in the competition.
BBK will next take on Group ‘B’ runners-up ABC.

ABC took a 2-0 lead in the first half through Ahmed Abduljalil and Ahmed Abdulnabi but NBB came back in the second half and scored two goals through Jassim Al Tatan to seal the draw.
ABC finished second with six points, and two points behind leaders Ahli United Bank (AUB), while NBB finished third with just one point. AUB will take on defending champions KHCB in the other semi-final round match.
Meanwhile, two matches are scheduled for tonight in the opening of Bankers Futsal Cup competition.
Group ‘A’ third-placed Tamkeen take on Group ‘B’ runners-up ABC at 8.30pm, while Group ‘B’ third-placed NBB face Group ‘A’ runners-up KHCB at 9.30pm in the first round of the competition.
The winners between the Tamkeen and ABC match will qualify for the semi-final and face Group ‘B’ winners AUB, while the winner between the NBB and KHCB match will take on Group ‘A’ winners BBK.
The semifinal is scheduled for November 25, while the final of the cup competition is scheduled for November 29.
