Kuwait, in a major move, has banned all companies and architectural firms that designed and implemented housing, infrastructure and road projects damaged by recent heavy rainfall, pending an investigation, reported Arab Times.
The decision was taken at the cabinet meeting which was chaired by HH Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Sabah, it stated.
As per the new directive, all these companies and architectural firms who are under probe would not be allowed to take part in any new projects without getting their names cleared from investigating agencies.
Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Hussam Al Roumi briefed the cabinet about an investigation being carried out by a fact-finding commission, with individuals and companies into causes of floods.
