OTHMAN Al Awadhi, Khalifa Jamal Al Sindy and Jamal Khamis won the first, second and third races respectively of the Endurance Season-opening Championship.
Al Awadhi completed the race in 3.42.01 hours while Al Sindy clocked 4.14.42 and Khamis 4.15.20 hours.
Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, chairman of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, president of Bahrain Olympic Committee and honourary president of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef), confirmed that the Endurance Season-opening Championship was a great success, thanks to the strong participation by competitors from local studs.
Shaikh Nasser praised the high-level of performance from all participants and pointed out that the competition for top places was very strong, especially in the last few kilometres of each race.
Shaikh Nasser congratulated the eventual winners.
Shaikh Nasser also crowned the winners in presence of Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, vice-president of Supreme Council for Environment and president of Breef and Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, member of the Board of Directors of Breef and chairman of the Endurance Committee.
