Al Majaz Amphitheatre, a unique, integrated cultural destination in Sharjah, said that it hosted more than 25,665 visitors during 2018, marking another impressive year of successful operations.
As part of its concerts and musical events, a host of legendary artists from across the world performed at the venue, the first-of-its-kind open air theatre in the region, set in an area of 7,238 sq m that can accommodate over 4,500 spectators.
The stellar line-up of celebrities who performed included Emelie Sandé, Chris De Burgh, Abdullah Al Ruwaished,Balqees, Abadi Aljawhar, Nawal Al Kuwaitia, Najwa Karam, Melhem Zein, Sami Yusuf and Adnan Sami. More than 13,665 visitors attended these concerts.
The Ramadan Majlis had been the highlight of cultural and educational gatherings hosted by Al Majaz Amphitheatre. Held during the holy month, seven Ramadan Majlis sessions welcomed over 2,000 people.
Yet another successful event this year at the Roman-style Al Majaz Amphitheatre was the entire season of the World Cup, welcoming over 10,000 people of all ages and nationalities who came together to cheer for their favourite football teams. Fully organised by Al Majaz Amphitheatre, the telecasts brought together the entire neighbourhood in a delightful celebration of football.
