A six-year-old Indian girl from Gulf Asian School in Sharjah died early morning on Tuesday allegedly due to complications related to flu, as per a school circular.
Shiba Fathima of Grade 2 developed complications after contracting the flu, it read.
The circular also advised the parents to take care of their children if they developed flu symptoms.
"Kindly take care of your child if she is feeling feverish, coughing, runny nose or any other symptoms immediately consult with a doctor and let them stay away from school," read the circular.
"Please keep them home because constantly from school the child brings infection to home. Advice your child to follow few safety measures," it read.
Fathima was taken to a Dubai hospital and died soon after. She was buried on Tuesday evening.
